Finally we come to the moment we are all waiting for ,,,TADA!! Its done!!!!!!!!!!
Its tight but livable, at least until you have to change the plugs!!
Next I have included pictures of the Summit Camaro headers and the custom made exhaust that was done by Florida Performance.
The first picture show the tubes as they come out by the 700R4 tranny,as you can see theres tons of clearence here both to the tranny and to the ground.Youll notice that the paint fell off pretty fast,,that's not a problem though as Im having them coated when I change to a better 350,,I just didn't want to be hammering on coated headers.
Next are a few shots of the rest of the exhaust system,Im running Thrush truck super turbos ,custom hpipe crossover,2.5" pipes that dump in front of the rear tires .It sounds very nice and thoaty without being loud except at very low idle speeds like when stopped at light with ac on when it booms a bit too loud for my taste,,not to mention setting off car alarms in all parking garages,,Im still thinking on how to remedy that.
I did all the work by myself in my home garage except for the positioning and bolting in of the engine,since this really requires two people for safety.I would like to thank Jared Rude for not only helping me but driving almost 120 miles roundtrip to do it and also to my cuz Willy for the help with figuring out the wiring.Well that’s all folks,for more on Astros go to the best bbs
